There are eight (8) independent school districts in Brazoria County. Three districts have over 8,000 students. There are a total of nine (9) high schools. Every school district in Brazoria County has attained a rating of Recognized or Exemplary. Throughout Brazoria County are parochial/private schools serving students from pre-kindergarten through high school.

Brazoria county’s Average Enrollment/Dist is 5,465, Average Student/Teacher Ratio is 17.2:1, Average SAT score is 892, and Average ACT score is 20.77.

An average of 16% of students enrolled in career & technology courses in the public school system and an average of 8% of students enrolled in the district participate in gifted and talented education courses.
