Brazoria County offers 2 Colleges that are conveniently located to all the towns and cities within the county. Educational leaders work closely with the major industries of the County to develop programs and courses that educate and train students for a future in these productive and lucrative careers.
Alvin Community College is a two year 144- acre institution that offers associate’s degrees and certificates in Business Administration and Management, Chemical Technology Technician, Correctional Administration, Criminal Justice, Nursing, Mental Health Services Technician, and Drafting. The college was founded in 1948 and currently has an enrollment of more than 3,435 students.

Brazosport Community College was established in 1968. Today the College holds a 156 acre campus with approximately 29,280 students in both credit and non-credit courses. Students have the option of enrolling in sixteen majors which transfer to four-year schools, or may opt for an Associate of Applied Science degree in nineteen areas. The College also offers Television and Computer courses in areas such as history, government, psychology, sociology, English, history, and chemistry. In addition the college is conveniently accessible by Highways 288, 332, and 227 and County Road 227.
